Thelma Lee Pinion 1919-2004

My grandmother passed away in the early morning of July 17, 2004. She was surrounded by her family and her most cherished possessions: photos of the people that meant the most to her. Grandma and grandpa were such an integral part of my life that it difficult to grasp that we’ve lost both of them in the past six months. I’m grateful for all of the memories that I have of them. I’ve posted a few family photos of them, along with some shots taken from their 40th anniversary party. There are even some scans of my mother and father thrown in for good measure. I’m going to do my best to make sure that Hannah knows her grandparents as well as I knew mine.

What a great collection of photographs! And yes, it amazing how much we connect with our grandparents. I've been trying to stay out of the way while Emma plays with Grandma and Grandpaw Northcutt, and I'm astounded, although the distance is great between us, at how much she connects with them! Just today Grandma and Emma were experimenting with make-up!
