Hannah Pulls Herself Up, Sans Bootstraps

Today was a big day at the Tabor house. Not only did Hannah pull herself up to a standing position for the first time in her life, but also I just happened to be taking pictures at that moment. There are undoubtedly visitors who will say, “Aren’t you always taking photos?” After all, anyone who posts dozens of pictures of an infant eating pureed vegetables must be wearing the camera at all times. ;-)

Rebecca was changing Hannah and took a short break to play an impromptu game of peek-a-boo. It didn’t take Hannah too long to figure out that Mommy was just ducking down. She kept trying to get into a better position to see Rebecca and apparently realized that she would be the winner of peek-a-boo if she could just stand up and look over the railing of her crib. And so she did. You can tell by their expressions that it was a shock to them both. Celebration ensued.

WOW! This is just classic! The look on her face is priceless. "I did it! I did it!"

I laughed out loud and found myself clapping right along with Rebecca when I saw this one. Fantastic stuff.

Heh, the look on her face in that picture IS perfect. Time to lower the matress in the crib, eh? We came home last night and put Sam in hers, which was still on the middle setting with the crib bumbers installed. I turned away, then turned back a second later to find her standing on TOP of the bumpers, making a bid for freedom. Bumpers come out, matress goes down to the lowest setting, and baby safely imprisoned for the night.
