Safe and Sound in Chi Town

Rebecca, Hannah, Dakota, Madison and I are now completely moved into our new home in Orland Park, Chicago suburb and self-proclaimed “Golf Center of the World.” My Dad was a great help in trekking across the continent with the two dogs. Rebecca recruited Babcia and Dziadzia to help her unpack, arrange furniture, and paint. My Mom watched Hannah on a long Saturday so that Rebecca could tackle project without distraction. Hannah’s cousins Aleigha and Justinhave been generously passing down great toys. In fact, everyone has been very generous in helping us get settled. The new home was ready to live in by the time I pulled up in the driveway.

I promise to take a few pictures of the new house in the next couple of weeks. I have been taking some pictures, but mostly of the people that live in the house, not the structure itself. The first set of Illinois photos was of Hannah helping to unpack her toys. This was sweaty work, so Hannah took a bath. We then moved on to an attempt an updated family photo. We are getting good at getting the three people in the picture, but getting both dogs to sit, stay, and smile at the camera has proved very difficult. The final set of photos comes from a Mother’s Day party at Babcia and Dziadzia’s house. Hannah’s First Birthday is next week, so there will be plenty more coming soon.
