Movember ‘Stache at 20 Days: Itchy, itchy, itchy

Movember - Sponsor MeTwo-thirds of the Movember fund raiser is now behind me. The beard continues to grow unabated. I’ve been debating when exactly to trim it down to the Movember Mustache. It is very tempting to do it now to remove some of this itchy beard from my face, but I may wait until the very end for a final reveal. :-)

As itchy as I am, it is good know there are over 6,600 guys in the US doing Movember this year also, so I am not alone.

I’m happy to report that my itchiness is going for good cause. Several more of my family, friends, and co-workers have graciously donated money to the Movember fund raiser to support the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

If you would like to learn more about this charity and how you can help, please visit my page over at the Movember website.

Kudos on the beard, my friend! Looking VERY sharp.

I am happy to report -- a year into my own beard growing experience -- that the itchiness subsides after a month or two. Also, it helps to buy a trimmer. At some point, you begin to resemble a salty old sailor.

Thanks for the compliment and the advice, Sean. You are the most-well-bearded fellow I know, so I will take your words to heart. :-)

Unfortunately, it appears that I will be shaving the beard down to a rockin’ mustache right about the time the itchiness subsides. Oh well. It is for a good cause and I may end up growing the beard right back when it is over.
