Home, the Holidays, and Hannah

It’s hard to believe it has been almost a month since my last post. Yes, I know every blog in the universe has that as the latest entry. “I can’t believe that I only update once every 3 years. It will be different from now on. Starting right…now.” Well, I’ll hopefully be a bet more reliable than the majority of bloggers.

Rebecca took some great shots of Hannah during their first week with Daddy off at work. The shots of Hannah eating a smashed banana should not be viewed by the feint-of –heart, however. You really can’t appreciate just how messy a 7-month-old can get until you give her an entire meal of finger food. The spa-like Banana Treatment was followed by a well-earned bath. Hannah is really starting to enjoy bath time, as the pictures illustrate.

The three of us visited Chicago for the Christmas holidays. It was a great trip. Everyone was wonderful and young Hannah seemed to love her first Christmas. She didn’t really understand it all, of course, but I know she will soon appreciate the gifts just as much as she enjoyed the wrapping paper, tasty ribbon, and empty boxes. She was a little leery of everyone at first, but she soon warmed up to her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. It was such a joy to see her surrounded by family.
